about the TAVI / TAVR-Template:

Advantages of TAVI / TAVR-Templates:

  • Clear and precise guidance
    while reporting
    TAVI / TAVR planning CTA

  • Flexible template reporting
    including free
    text elements

  • Context-specific decision trees ensure completeness

  • Guidance for
    radiologists in training

  • Optimal selection of the right
    TAVI / TAVR and improved
    procedural planning

  • Scientific evaluation of reports for academic purposes and for TAVI / TAVR manufacturers

  • Important background
    information and graphics

Our vision is to improve health by advancing cardiovascular imaging (CVI) in Europe. Specific subspecialized expertise in CVI is built on broad-based knowledge in general radiology.

Aortic stenosis is the most common heart valve disease in adults. The TAVI procedure (transcatheter aortic valve implantation, or TAVR, transcatheter aortic valve replacement) has become a real alternative to open-heart surgery for elderly or multimorbid patients. In order for this procedure to work optimally, radiologists and cardiologists must plan the imminent implantation precisely. The TAVI / TAVR template developed by the European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology and Smart Reporting supports the diagnosis of planning CTAs. Step by step, it assists the radiologist in the evaluation of the planning CTA and the measurement of the aortic valve. Which measured values are particularly relevant for planning? Which projection angle is suitable? Are there any relevant vascular calcifications along the access path? What must the final findings include in order for the selection of the correct aortic valve and the implantation to be successful?

„Thanks to Smart Reporting's TAVR template, I can be sure that I will consider all important and relevant points in my findings for TAVR implantation.!“
